Over half of the people (6 million) in South Sudan

do not have access to clean water.

Clean, safe drinking water is scarce. Today, nearly 1 billion people in the developing world don't have access to it. Yet, we take it for granted, we waste it, and we even pay too much to drink it from little plastic bottles. Water is the foundation of life. And still today, all around the world, far too many people spend their entire day searching for it.
In places like South Sudan, women and girls get up at 4 am then walk for 4 hours to get water from contaminated sources for their family. Time lost gathering water and the added suffering from water-borne diseases renders life a painful existance. Either the lack of enough water (quantity) or lack of access to safe water (quality) prevents the population from the very basic needs in life. Imagine...

   You can only live
 3 days without water...
then you die.

It doesn't have to be this way
